Awning - Troubleshoot & Assess (1) Manual operated Titan Drop Screen Description of Issue: As awning was being raised, there was resistance and then it stopped. Hembar is bent. Plan of Action: Inspect the fabric to determine if it is telescoping, rolled incorrectly, or binding. Check for obstructions or debris within the tracks that may be causing the screen to jam. Test the crank operation to determine whether the mechanism turns freely or is frozen. If the crank turns freely, inspect the internal gears in the gear eyelet for stripped or damaged components. If the crank is frozen, inspect for a jammed gear mechanism or fabric that is severely bound within the housing. Verify that the crank wand is fully seated and properly engaging the input shaft. Inspect the fabric roll to ensure it has not been overextended and wrapped backward around the roller tube.
